Tired of redoing British (and other network) shows, FOX will bring an Australian one to U.S. shores on Monday, Aug. 30 with the premiere of "The Complex: Malibu."

Based on Australia's "The Block," "The Complex" moves eight couples, ranging in age from 24 to 67, into a cliffside apartment building in posh Malibu, Calif. The couples then begin to compete for the chance to restore and decorate one of four apartment units.

Their efforts will be evaluated by a panel of experts consisting of an architect, an intererior designer and a real estate agent, who will rank the rooms and decide who gets to stick around to do another one and who gets sent home ... their real home.

Ultimately, the four units will be sold at public auction and the couple whose work nets the highest gain (by percentage) will win the proceeds from all the sales.

Carl (30) and Kim (30) from Las Vegas
Erik (31) and Jayna (28) from Dallas

Barney (67) and Rose (64) from Hauppauge, N.Y.
